IT has been over six months now since the eastern end main access bridge leading to Ocean View, Uitvlugt, has been in a state of disrepair.
Over three weeks ago the Region Three Chairman indicated that funds are being sought from the Finance Ministry for the building of a new bridge. However, there has been no further progress.
Also about six weeks ago the Regional Chairman disclosed that in Region Three 18 roads will be repaired among which are those of Uitvlugt. Again so far there has not been any further progress or if there is the residents have not been informed.
Worse yet, apparently the rainy season is here so even if things are in place to make a start there may be a further delay.
If someone could be kind enough to inform residents about the true situation pertaining to the bridge and roads it would bring a great sigh of relief. But maybe that is asking too much because the residents are not that important.
