Warner reported for alleged suspension breach

ZURICH, Switzerland CMC – Suspended CONCACAF president Austin ‘Jack’ Warner has been reported to football’s world governing body FIFA, for allegedly breaching the terms of his ban.
Warner, a powerful FIFA vice-president, was barred from engaging in any footballing activities pending an investigation of FIFA ethics committee over bribery allegations.

CONCACAF general secretary Chuck Blazer said, however, that Warner had still been active in the business of the continental governing body that oversees football in North, Central America and the Caribbean.
“We have clear evidence of a violation of his suspension and we have reported that to the FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke. He has also been meeting with (CONCACAF) members, which is against the rules of the suspension,” said Blazer.
Yesterday, Warner appealed to members of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) which he also heads, not to boycott today’s election for the leadership of FIFA and cast their vote in favour of the incumbent Sepp Blatter.
Warner, along with suspended Asian Football Chief (AFC) Mohamed bin Hammam, have been accused of offering US$40 000 to national associations of the CFU at a meeting on May 10 and 11 in Trinidad and Tobago, in return for their votes in the FIFA presidential election.
