Terror was wantonly unleashed

I am glad to see the word “Terror” “Terrorised” in this Guyana Chronicle report on this brutal crime.

Terror was wantonly unleashed at Meten-Meer-Zorg last evening Saturday) when a gang of about six heavily armed bandits swooped down on a supermarket at 52 Middle Street.
Beating and holding staff and family members of the business owned by Donauth Judistry hostage, before carting off some $7-8M in local currency and an undisclosed amount of US currency.
In the frenzy the businessman’s wife Annie suffered severe head injuries after being beaten on the head and had to be rushed to hospital.
Their 10-year old daughter and an 18-year-old niece were also beaten and gun butted.
The 18-year old was forced to lie face down on the floor, while two employees were also beaten and terrorised.
Police showed up one hour after these terrorist acts were perpetrated on this family for their hard-earned possessions.

Just the night before this, a resident of Waller’s Delight was beaten and robbed of more than $7M.Police are investigating.

When will this injustice be stopped as it seems criminals are more brazen than ever?
What can the police really do other than to investigate and try taking finger prints and recovering spent shells from fired gun/s to match it to see if other crimes were committed?
The evolving doors of justice for criminals must end once and for all perpetrators of these heinous crimes are caught.

Swift work by the police, who acted on a tipoff resulted in the arrest of two suspects in the brutal stabbing of Cohen Gibson.
Now that two suspects are in custody and one is still at large, the justice system must see fit to attach terror charges against these two.
Interrogators must use all means necessary on these two terrorists to call the name of their accomplice and must never see the light of day to live amongst civil society ever again.

Once again, the police failed the people of the first two crimes. Again I ask what can the police really do, when they show up at crime scenes one hour after the crime has been committed?
Innocent law-abiding citizens must ask government for weapons training and be given high-powered weapons to match those of the criminals in order to protect lives from this brutal madness that is raining down on the innocent by terrorists.
Just imagine what would have happened had some people in that neighbourhood had weapons to match those terrorists who were shooting to keep citizens at bay while the others carried out their brutal act?
Sad to say again, that the police will go all out to protect some citizens while some others will be left to the mercy of the terrorists.
Citizens of Guyana who are law abiding and peace loving will forever feel the wrath of terrorists if not allowed to legally defend themselves.
There is no other way out other than leaving the country to settle in other countries.
