In hospital…

Henry Greene showing slight signs of recovery
POLICE Commissioner Henry Greene is still a patient at a private hospital in the city and showed slight signs of recovery over the last 48 hours, a highly reliable source reported yesterday.
The informant said, on Tuesday afternoon, the Top Cop was propped up in bed and complained of discomfort in his chest region, not a good condition for a person with a history of heart complications.
His major problem, at this time, appears to be the state of a lower leg, as a result of a ruptured blood vessel which had, earlier, been bleeding profusely. But, since doctors have been able to stop the flow, no more has been heard of previous plans to have Greene flown out of the country for further interventions overseas.
Local medical sources are, however, concerned about the prospects for recovery of the limb, in the short term, given the fact that the problem exists in the area of a pressure point and corpulence and weight are likely to prove inimical to any attempts at mobility, even for the sake of exercise.
Greene would like to be discharged soon but doctors have strongly advised against it and are keeping him under strict surveillance.
