WITH the National Sports Commission (NSC)-organised Independence three-stage cycle road race, scheduled to pedal off on Saturday, the Roraima Bikers Club (RBC) has organised a 60-mile cycle road race for today, thanks to the kind sponsorship of Ansa McAl Trading.
The race, which is being sponsored under the Tropical Rhythm brand of juice will pedal off from the compound of Ansa McAl Trading at Beterverwagting Industrial Site at 08:00hrs and proceed to Mahaicony through the Old Road and return via the New Road to finish on the Beterverwagting Public Road in the vicinity of the sponsor’s head office.
The Veterans and Upright/Mountain Bike cyclists will proceed to Mahaica via the Old Road and return through the New Road to finish as above.
The first six finishers in the senior category will receive a trophy and a Tropical Rhythm champion jersey, while the first three finishers in the Juniors, Veterans and Upright/Mountain Bike categories will receive a trophy and a Tropical Rhythm champion jersey. Ten sprint prizes will be up for grabs.
