REGION Four (4) will be hosting culture fest 2011 on May 22 and thus far stakeholders have been reaching on a regular basis to discuss plans for the much anticipated event that is set for the Carifesta Sports Complex Ground. On the agenda for the event, hosted by the Ethnic Relations Commission (ERC), are exhibitions on artifacts, skits, dances, lectures, games, cultural presentations and an impromptu speech competition among other electrifying activities which will be announced later.
Stakeholders are optimistic that the event will be bigger and better, and they are encouraging persons from all walks of life to come out to the event as they will be in for a treat.
The organizers at the meeting in the ERC boardroom yesterday outlined various activities in which their organizations will take part.
Speaking on behalf of ERC, Beverley Alert related that so far the stage is all set for the cultural and religious occasion that will highlight participation from religious organization and at the same time promote cohesion.
Regions Two and Three successfully hosted their Culture Fest on April 3.
The event had attracted a large turnout at the Anna Regina Multilateral School and the Uitvlugt Community Centre. Admission for the event is free and starting time is 2:00 pm.
