THE executives and members of the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) yesterday  congratulated Demerarar Cricket Club (DCC) and Guyana all-rounder  Christopher Barnwell on his selection to the West Indies T20 Squad, named to oppose Pakistan in St Lucia. If selected, Barnwell will join an illustrious group who have represented a GCA member club and the West Indies. He will also be the first cricketer from the DCC to represent the West Indies in a T20 International.
The Executives and Members of the GCA hope that Mr Barnwell regards his selection as the beginning of that long journey that will lead to an illustrious career in International Cricket.
