The Guyana Agricultural and General Workers Union (GAWU), in collaboration with the International Labour Organisation, commenced a workshop yesterday at the GAWU Labour College, Kingston, on occupational safety and health. The participants heard presentations on issues of OHS in Guyana and the Region, and OHS and its relation to business and the forestry sector. The three-day workshop, which ends tomorrow, is also looking at HIV in the workplace and OHS as it relates to the Guyana Sugar Corporation.
