Annoyed at so-called civic group on LCDS

I WISH to associate myself and even lend complete support to the Multi-Stakeholder Steering Committee (MSCC) on Guyana’s Low Carbon Development Strategy (LCDS).

Let me make it clear, I am not a member of the Committee, nor was I invited to the forum or asked to be a member. I would have loved to sit with them.  My purpose for highlighting my opinion on the subject is because I believe passionately in this strategy of development, which is supposed to be good for Guyana, financially and for the world.

It is a process from which our country could enhance its development, and by which our peoples could enjoy  higher standards of living, creating industries and spin-off businesses, inclusive of the service sector.

As a citizen with enormous love of this country and peoples, it breaks my heart, that certain devious and vicious politically charged individuals, masking as ‘CIVIC,’ are trying to railroad the President’s work, and that of our country and Government to make this strategy a success.  The same strategy which brought great respect to Guyana from around the world, while inspiring nations to be environmental friendly and conscious, and for which His Excellency, Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo was awarded the title ‘Champion of the Earth’, and even got $$$ award, which he donated to the Amerindian Communities.

With respect to the Champion of the Earth award, the recalcitrant, the political failures, the politically ambitious, the envious rumour-creators and mongers, did all they could to humiliate no other than the President of the land.  Disrespecting a man voted[for] by the people is disrespecting the will of the people and therefore, God Almighty.  They may think they have support, but from their followers, especially those seen at their protests, many being street walkers, even some mentally-ill  are seen at every and any protest, expose themselves as weak and disorganised.

Do they think the Government of Norway is bereft of sense, in which it would not recognise ‘here is a bunch of people wanting to sabotage an endeavour, which could spring development to their country and the people’s happiness, and benefit the world?’

This is definitely an act of terrorism against the state of Guyana by an uncivil group, who will do anything to bring down an elected government.  Being devoid of wisdom (not intelligence, for some have university degrees), as wisdom by far surpasses knowledge.  A university degree or degrees do not make one wise.

It truly astonishes me that individuals of a country, just because they crave political power, and associated perks, they will badmouth their country, and even try to destroy its development.  I think the citizens should know these individuals well, get their names, mark them, identify them, and when they come around you and campaign, give them what they need, true country-style medicine.

For they are definitely telling the LCDS partners to cease money to this country and peoples, monies owed, monies worked for, all because they have an agenda.

Also, are governments receiving such letters not aware that political opposition usually want to bring down current governments?  Some, even at  the risk of being a traitor, or committing treason.  Anyone who tries to sabotage a nation is a traitor and should be charged accordingly.  I ask the government, police and DPP to study and see whether this group committed treason against the state.

I know many in the business community, positive intellectuals and even wise ones, who completely agree with my concerns here, but they are cowards, being afraid of the uncivil group of destabilisers.

The Government of Norway has a contract with the people of Guyana through its official and elected representatives.  It has no right to listen to certain opposition elements, who can do little at the elections, and who may be eliminated as serious political contenders.

The other underclass, weak-kneed protester specialists see everything that government does as bad.  Yet some of them cannot even win 1/3 of one seat.  All they can do is fume and throw tantrums, and try to derail the country’s development.

A known book-thief is among them.  That fellow almost sabotaged this writer’s every effort in catching book thieves at the University of Guyana, by exposing small-framed people, looking as high school students we placed in the Library as students (undercover) to catch book thieves.  Yet we caught some, and other staff for stealing; some were jailed.

That obnoxious recalcitrant always creates a ruckus when we wanted to examine his vehicle, to the point that senior UG management personnel instructed we allow him to pass.  I still believe he stole books then and maybe still is.

I always see the great and good of Guyana.
