South Georgetown Leos donate to Chase’s Indigent Home

SOUTH Georgetown Leo Club donated two food hampers to Chase’s Indigent Home, in Robb Street, Bourda, last Saturday.
The President, Mr. Collis Willie said, apart from that donation, the Club, usually, keeps a donation schedule and Chase’s Home is one of the twice or thrice yearly beneficiaries.
Willie said the Leos acknowledge the importance of caring for the elderly and frequently donating to the hospice is a way for them to show their appreciation to the residents.
Head of Chase’s, Ms. Beryl Austin said she and the other eight occupants are grateful and happy to receive the gifts.
Others present at the handing over last Saturday, were Immediate Past President of the Leo Club, Mr. Dwayne Daniels; its Secretary, Ms. Yolanda Wiltshire and another member, Ms. Thandi Fortune.
The Leo Club of South Georgetown is the offspring of the Lions Club of Georgetown and Chase’s Home was established December 1, 1964.
