Police Corporal Venetta Pindar, prosecuting, said ranks, acting on information received, went to the defendant’s home and saw him throw a black and white plastic bag in his yard.
The prosecutor said, when retrieved, the bag was found to contain seeds, leaves and stems of the prohibited plant.
A tearful Leacock (no address given) told the court, police fired gunshots over his head and, because he did not give them $100,000 they demanded, they beat and charged him.
