VISHWANAUTH Sookdeo, 33, was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment yesterday, for break and enter and larceny.
Magistrate Nyasha Williams-Hatmin inflicted the custodial penalty on him for the March 7 offence, for which he had pleaded guilty.
The prisoner admitted that, at Greenwich Park, East Bank Essequibo, he broke and entered the dwelling house of his former employer, Ramdatt and stole a gas cylinder and stove worth a total of $22,000.
Ramesh Sookoo and Boodram Tikaram (no addresses given either) who were charged with receiving the booty were ordered to each post $70,000 bail after the pleaded not guilty.
They will face trial on June 14.
