HOW do I go about finding friends and other information about Guyana, land of my birth, which I left in 1946?  I have resided in England since that time. Please, can you advise? I do have a few stories to tell also. I remember the Almshouse near Hardina Street (where my family lived), which I used to visit when I was 8 years old and sometimes helped an old lady to feed herself.
I have noticed that a new Almshouse has been built and did offer a donation in response to a request; but I have heard nothing; that was almost a year ago.
