TAXI driver, Shane Allicock, of Lot 539 Joanne Street, Tucville, Georgetown, pleaded guilty to two counts of noise nuisance yesterday and was fined $15,000 on each, with the alternative of three weeks imprisonment on either. Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry imposed the penalties on him after he pleaded guilty.
Police Corporal Venetta Pindar, prosecuting, said, last October 24, the defendant operated a stereo music set and caused loud and continuous noise in his neighbourhood.
The Prosecutor said, despite being warned, he played the loud music again on Monday, January 3, 2011, again resulting in noise nuisance in the same community.
