AN INCIDENT that occurred on January 21, resulted in Cleveland Williams and Jennifer Boodie being fined yesterday by Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.
The man has to pay $25,000 or spend two weeks in prison and the woman $15,000 with the same alternative, for assaulting each other. Williams pleaded guilty and said he and Boodie, who were involved in a long term relationship, had an argument over some money and she struck him with a clothes iron.
She said, he took a cutlass and chased her and her son out of their Norton Street, Lodge, Georgetown home after she had refused to withdraw $10,000 from her bank account.
