A MAN, charged with using threatening language, claimed, on Tuesday, that he meant no harm but wanted timely access to his children.
Sean Welch faced the charge before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, where it was alleged that, on January 21, he made use of the threat to Leon Howard, uncle of his children. Corporal Vanetta Pindar, prosecuting, said the defendant went to Howard’s home and made threats to kill him and his sister.
But Welch, after pleading not guilty, said he had attempted to visit his children and was prevented from doing so.
He was granted $10,000 bail and was ordered to make his next appearance in another court on February 7.
