TRAVIS Moore, 18, pleaded guilty to a charge of unlawfully causing bodily harm when he appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry yesterday.
Particulars of the offence stated that on January 17, in East Ruimveldt, he unlawfully assaulted Vernal Thorne so as to cause him actual bodily harm.
The prosecution said that Thorne and Moore are known to each other. The court was told that Thorne was standing in his yard when the defendant approached him with a bottle in his hand.
Moore struck Thorne in his head. The matter was reported and Thorne was arrested.
A probation report was ordered by the magistrate and the defendant was released on $25,000 bail.
The case will be called again on January, 27.
