NICOLA Richardson has positively identified the swollen and partly decomposed body recovered from that part of the Lama Conservancy called ‘The Blacka’ as that of her father Hilton Richardson. The corpse was found floating face down in the water and she told the Guyana Chronicle, yesterday, that the family is awaiting a post mortem examination, scheduled for tomorrow, to determine the cause of death before burying him on Monday.
She also wants Police to state how the deceased got to where he was discovered.
Richardson was unsure, from what she saw of it, whether his remains bore marks of violence, given its decomposing state.
She said her father was missing since December 31, 2010, after he failed to return home from work and a search for him was ongoing since then.
He had been employed, as a security guard, at Ketley Primary School and left his Lot 156 Non Pariel Street, Albouystown address, also in Georgetown, for the former location about 21:00hrs on December 30, 2010, and never returned.
The 65-year-old man was the father of eight and grandfather of 17.
Nicola said he was epileptic and a hard drinker of alcohol and speculated that he may have, as happened on previous occasions, had too much to drink.
