PHILBERT McPherson (no address given) appeared in Court yesterday, charged with murder.
Before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, the indictable charge against him said he unlawfully killed Ricardo Hendricks on November 24, 2008. Police Inspector Stephen Telford, prosecuting, said the victim was fatally shot in front of Juice Power Shop in Middle Street, Georgetown.
The Prosecutor said, when the injured man fell, the accused took away a bag he had containing $800,000 and escaped with another person on a motorcycle.
McPherson was arrested on January 8, 2011 and charged after an identification parade was conducted, the Court heard.
McPherson was remanded to prison until February 7.
