Ceremonial parade to mark opening of January sessions

The traditional ceremonial parade and march past by the Police Band will form part of the opening of the January Criminal  Sessions at the Demerara Assizes today. Justices Winston Patterson and Madame Dawn Gregory are assigned to preside at the sessions where they are expected to deal with nearly 200 cases.
One of the two judges will inspect a Guard of Honour drawn from 60 Ranks of the Tactical Services Unit .
