Carl Greenidge compromised himself

CARL Greenidge  is the Director General of The Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA). This organisation falls within the CARICOM framework, and does trade negotiations for regional governments. As such, Carl Greenidge is in a way representative of an international public servant and should know that he has a responsibility to bridle his mouth. Whether he is wrong or right is not the issue. What is important is that he remembers to think about what he says before it escapes his mouth, because as an international public servant, he is guided by protocols of the international public service.
Carl Greenidge must realise, like all others in his position that he is working along with government, and his position generated much warranted feelings of mistrust, and no government would be happy or comfortable to continue relations with an individual with whom they cannot trust. Not entering the fray of whether his appointment or the termination thereof is justified, Carl Greenidge compromised himself with his irrational comments and compromised neutrality and trust.
