T&T Senior squad to raise curtain on T20 Festival

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad (CMC) – Trinidad and Tobago’s senior team will open the Cricket Festival Twenty20 series against the National Under-23 side at Guaracara Park next Tuesday.
The game will raise the curtain on what is expected to be a competitive three-day tournament, which also involves regional T20 champions Guyana and a T&T ‘A’ side.

Conceptualised by the T&T Cricket Board, the tournament will act as preparation for Guyana and T&T, ahead of their campaigns in next month Caribbean Twenty20 Championship in Antigua and Barbados.
T&T’s clash with the Under-23s will be followed by an encounter between Guyana and the T&T ‘A’ team, which is packed with players who did not make the senior team.
The winner of the tournament will take away $20 000 (US$ 3 164).
