AT about 00:20 hrs yesterday police said, members of a Joint Services mobile patrol encountered Gary DeFlorimonte called ‘Sadam’ of Plaisance Squatting area, East Coast Demerara, who is wanted by the police for questioning in relation to a number of robberies on the East Coast of Demerara and was among a group of men gaming at Plaisance Squatting area. As they approached, DeFlorimonte began to run and was pursued by the ranks during which he discharged several rounds at the ranks who returned fire. He however managed to escape.
