SHAWN Fletchman, 38, of Lot 1338 South Cummings Park, Sophia, was remanded to prison yesterday on a drug trafficking charge.
Before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, he pleaded not guilty to the offence, particulars of which said, on November 15, he had 41 grammes of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
Police Inspector Stephen Telford, prosecuting, who successfully objected to bail for the defendant, said ranks were conducting a search in Tiger Bay (South Cummingsburg) also in Georgetown, when Fletchman was apprehended with the substance in his pants crotch.
Fletchman has to be back in Court on December 1.
