The Canadian-based Uitvlugt Community Group last Saturday made its annual presentation to students of Uitvlugt who performed well at the National Grade Six Examination.
The ceremony took place at the Uitvlugt Primary School and the presentations were made by the Group’s local representatives Jeff Rammbarran, Frank Carew and Chamanlall Naipaul.
The five awardees were: Laksmie Sawh – Daligadu award; Karan Bansram -Ramdin award; Venkatesh McCoon – R. Naipaul award; Ravesh Persaud – G/R Dwarka award; and Subrina Henry – Dr. Ralph Gomes award.
