I am an avid reader of all four daily newspapers and have been closely following the Freddie Kissoon columns appearing in the Kaieteur News.
After careful observation I have concluded that Kissoon suffers from what psychologists refer to as ‘delusions of grandeur’, a condition characterised by a false sense of power and importance. My first impression of Kissoon, based on a few of his daily ramblings, was that of a government critic. However, I now believe that Kissoon is not just a government critic. Kissoon is anti-opposition, anti-working class (the vicious attack on D & I workers is a case in point), anti-religion and ‘anti’ just about anything or anyone whose views are in contrast to his own.
He frequently creates an impression of being in a position to ‘bring down the government’ with ‘earth shattering information’ which is in his possession (false sense of importance). He cannot take this information to the police because he is anti-police. So now his choice of ‘confidant’ is the US Embassy. For several months he has been threatening to take his ‘earth shattering information’ to the embassy. Either he did and was unceremoniously kicked out or he his still compiling his dossier, because to date, the embassy has been extremely quiet on the subject of one Freddie Kissoon.
The mere fact that Kissoon has been able to concoct a daily barrage of garbage and slander and have his diatribes published in a newspaper is testimony to the fact that democracy is alive and well in Guyana. If this was indeed a dictatorship, Freddie Kissoon would have disappeared a long, long time ago.
Kissoon’s published diatribes confirm democracy is alive and well
