West Ruimveldllt Front Road murder trial continuing

TSU Rank had charged accused
DETECTIVE Corporal Ganeshan John, of the Tactical Service Unit, Eve Leary yesterday told the judge and jury that he had arrested and charged the accused Paul Bagot called Paul Moore, with murder.
This, he said, happened after he had told the accused about the murder which he allegedly committed and after he remained silent when asked if he had anything to say.
But it came out in evidence that the witness had put the wrong position of the scene to the accused, which is to be the subject of arguments.
Cpl. John had testified that during the months of September and October 2004 he was stationed at East Ruimveldt Police Outpost.
He went to West Ruimveldt Front Road, East La Penitence in the vicinity of the Soldiers Housing Scheme, on 30th September 2004. He visited the scene in company with a party of policeman. He observed a red substance which appeared to be blood on the road and on Roy Watson’s on the northern of West Ruimveldt Front Road, Georgetown.
According to him, he questioned several persons from the area but no useful information was received.
Witness said that he caused the crime scene personnel and the photographer to visit the scene.
The Cpl. said that he saw a woman with wounds on the left side of neck and left side of face below her left ear.
Attorney-at-law Mr. Hukumchand, associated with Miss Sonia Parag, is defending,  while Miss Rhondel Weaver, with Miss Shivani Balcharan, is prosecuting.
The hearing is continuing before Justice William Ramlal.
