Arsenal move up to second after win at Everton

LONDON,  (Reuters) – Goals from Bacary Sagna and Cesc Fabregas gave Arsenal a 2-1 win at Everton yesterday to lift them above Manchester United into second place in the Premier League. Full back Sagna, with only his second goal for Arsenal in over 140 matches, opened the scoring when he fired past Tim Howard at the near post after 36 minutes and Fabregas added the second three minutes into the second half.
Arsenal, who thrashed Everton 6-1 win at Goodison Park on the opening day of last season, dominated for much of the game but had to hang on at the end after Tim Cahill scored for Everton in the dying minutes.
Chelsea, who face Sunderland at Stamford Bridge in a 1600 GMT kickoff, lead the standings with 28 points, with Arsenal on 26 and United third on 25 following their 2-2 draw at Aston Villa on Saturday
