Yuvraj relegated to Grade B list

BATSMAN Yuvraj Singh has been relegated from Grade A to Grade B in the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s list of centrally-contracted players for the 2010-11 season.
The 28-year-old left-hander has been out of the India squad in their last five Tests and his place has been filled by Suresh Raina, who has now jumped from Grade C to Grade A.

Paceman RP Singh, who has not played a Test since April 2008, does not figure in any of the categories – along with Dinesh Karthik and S. Badrinath.
Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag have retained their Grade A contracts along with other senior players such as Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman and Gautam Gambhir.
Grade A: Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan.
Grade B: Yuvraj Singh, Ishant Sharma, Ashish Nehra, Praveen Kumar, Virat Kohli, Murali Vijay, Pragyan Ojha.
Grade C: Shanthakumaran Sreesanth, Amit Mishra, Ravichandran Ashwin, Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ravindra Jadeja, Abhimanyu Mithun, Vinay Kumar.
