ANOTHER man became a millionaire when Digicel hosted the third and final segment of its promotional game show ‘Spin N’ Win’, last Sunday at the Theatre Guild Playhouse in Kingston, Georgetown. From the mining town of Linden, Mr. Ewart Peters was the star of the evening when he walked away with the $1M jackpot after the two rounds were completed.
With excitement and in anticipation, the 14 eager contestants in the grand finale spun the wheel in their attempt to join previous winners of millions. Digicel Advertising Manager Ramesh Rupchand said a total of 35 persons were involved in the contest, including three millionaires, Tonetta Singh, Roy Lorrimer and Ewart Peters.
Acknowledging the success of the venture, Digicel Head of Marketing, Ms. Jacqueline James said the just concluded series was of paramount importance to the service provider, as management and staff invested countless hours to ensure that customers were satisfied.
“For us, at Digicel, we are glad to have our customers feeling satisfied. We are giving back by making them millionaires,” she said.
James revealed that the promotion received rave reviews from customers and the general public and expressed confidence that it will attract even more supporters next time.
“The winners were all very pleased and I’m sure they, along with our other supporters, will be participating in other promotions like this one. We would have loved to have more millionaires,” she stated.
The latest millionaire, Peters expressed gratitude to the management and staff of Digicel for the win which, he said, has changed his life.
Peters said he has been a dedicated customer for the past three years and has now reaped the reward for his loyalty.
“I think this is a good thing that Digicel is doing by giving back to customers,” he remarked, adding: “They will get many more patrons if they continue doing things like this.”
The mobile communications provider introduced the game in June, offering customers a chance to win a total $50M cash by collecting the letters J-A-C-K-P-O-T for $50,000 or spinning the wheel for more or less cash, by topping up with $500, $1,000 or $2,000 ‘Spin N’ Win’ flex cards or through the electronic top-up.
