CANADIAN boxing promotion group, ‘Jensen Strauss Boxing Limitee’, according to a release from Holland’s Entertainment, will be aligning themselves with the second staging of Caribbean Fury, which is set for the Princess Hotel and Casino on November 6.
Headed by former world boxing promoter of the year Carwyn Holland, Holland’s Entertainment will be teaming up with Lion Love of New York and debutant into the boxing promotion business Hurry-up Promotions.
The release which was issued yesterday stated that an overwhelming response has been coming in from overseas over the past week and has now landed a part-sponsor with Canadian firm “Jensen Strauss Boxing Limitee” coming on board to sponsor the fight between Canadian Richard Reittie and Guyana’s Mark Murray and signaled its intention to be on board the next “Fury” in a major way.
“Jensen Strauss Boxing Limitee is a strategic boxing promotion company represented by its agent and top Canadian attorney Mike Schmidt,” the release stated.
It went on to state that, “their most current involvement includes current WBA, WIBA Super-Bantamweight Champion Lisa “Bad News” Browns non-title fight appearance at Casino Rama on the undercard of Guyanese Troy Ross vs. Carl Handy and exclusive marketing rights to Al Bernstein in Canada with Al Bernstein providing commentary to last month’s televised NABA title fight, Logan Cotton vs. Buzz Grant, in Canada.”
The release also mentioned that it is Jensen Strauss Boxing Limitee’s desire to work on future projects with Holland Promotions and this will hopefully be the beginning in a Country which is rich in boxing history.
“We would love to bring people like Al Bernstein to Guyana to share broadcasting duties with Guyana Broadcasting talent on fight cards, and there are a multitude of other promotional aspects that will hopefully bring opportunities to the table for all involved,” Holland Entertainment added in the release.
Richard Reittie is a young Canadian fighter who debuted in Canada this past January; a boxer in style similar to the great welterweight Marlon Starling.
It is Reittie’s hope to celebrate his Caribbean Island birth heritage by performing for the first time in Guyana on a card headlined by top ranked talent. Reittie is still in the developing stage, with only two fights at this time, and thanks the promoters for this opportunity.”
