CHAIRMAN of Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam), Mr. Alli Baksh inspected construction work on La Union access road on Monday.
During the inspection, he told the Guyana Chronicle that $4.5M are currently being spent to build the roadway with sand, loam and crusher run.
Baksh said it is one of the projects being undertaken through the Region’s 2010 capital works progamme.
The route, which starts from the public road, will also provide access to La Union foreshore, where a cremation site is located.
Baksh said rehabilitation is continuing, as well, on several secondary and primary schools across the region.
