The AFC extend s Eid ul-Fitr greetings to all Muslims on this auspicious day of the end of the fast of Ramadan. While the day is celebrated, the significance of the past month of Ramadan should not be missed and the virtues of fasting should be good examples for all Guyanese to inculcate in their daily lives.

It is a time when forgiveness is sought for sins and past wrongs and so too Allah’s guidance in dealing with the perils and vagaries of everyday life; the temptations, pit falls and snares that lie in wait to trap and imprison a person’s virtue and integrity.
The fast of Ramadan therefore brings a cleansing and a renewal with new vigor and enthusiasm to live a better and meaningful life.  Those who have successfully come through his holy month have every reason to celebrate.
