THE People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR) has extended sincere greetings and salutes the Indigenous Community of Guyana on the commencement of their Heritage month of September 2010. “On this significant occasion it is appropriate to reflect on the significant social, cultural and economic contributions which Amerindians have made to the development of Guyana,” the PNCR said in a statement.
“Today, while much is still to be achieved, our indigenous citizens can boast of being treated as citizens with equal rights and opportunities like all Guyanese,” the PNCR acknowledged.
