President Bharrat Jagdeo, who holds the portfolio of Information Minister, has instructed that the NCN television station in Berbice, Channel 21, be shut down immediately. Mr. Kwame McKoy, head of the Press and Publicity Unit at the Office of the President, told the Chronicle last evening that President Jagdeo had not been  informed about the station going on air.
