ST JOHN’S, Antigua – The WICB Cricket Committee yesterday wrapped up an interactive two-day meeting in Antigua.
Led by Chairman Joel Garner, the Committee discussed various issues including Retainer Contracts, Player Rankings, Selection Policy, the Schedule of Cricket for the next year and the Cricket Development Programme.
Meeting at the WICB Headquarters, the Cricket Committee also reviewed the Combined Campuses and Colleges participation in the regional WICB competitions.
Another item which engaged the committee – which also includes current Windward Islands player and former captain Rawl Lewis – is a Pathway Document for youngsters interested in representing West Indies at the highest level.
West Indies Head Coach Ottis Gibson, who is not a member of the Committee, was also in attendance to share his views on various matters on the meeting’s agenda.
Following the meeting the Cricket Committee will make recommendations to the WICB Board of Directors on the various issues discussed and the WICB will release more detailed information in due course.

Clive Lloyd and Courtney Walsh had pre-arranged appointments and could not attend.
