POLICE are continuing their hunt for suspects involved in the murder of two security guards at Sophia and Enterprise. Crime Chief, Seelall Persaud told the Guyana Chronicle that following the murders of two security guards, Carl Nelson Bollers and Ronald Cato, they are still on the hunt for the suspects.
He said there have no further information but are still investigating the crimes.
The Sophia guard, Carl Nelson Bollers who was battered to death at Mercy Wings Vocational Centre, in South Sophia, Greater Georgetown, died from shock and haemorrhage due to perforation of his lungs.
The corpse of the victim was found on Sunday, July 25 but police have not yet made any arrest.
Bollers was killed by a gang whose members broke into Mercy Wings canteen and stole some confectionery and six gallons of paint.
The man, 58, of Lot 234 Section ‘A’, Field Eight, South Sophia, suffered several stab wounds.
He is the second security guard to have been murdered at his workplace during last month. The other is Ronald Cato, 44, of Lot 58, Block 12, Non Pareil, who was killed on July 14, at a Section ‘C’, Enterprise construction site, also on East Coast Demerara.
Five suspects were held for that crime but all were later released.
The men who killed Cato took away four heavy duty batteries from machines he was guard at the place where he had only secured employment a week before.
