THE Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport in collaboration with the Regional Democratic Council of Region Three (Essequibo Islands/West Demerara) will host eight youth camps in various parts of the Region between July 12 and August 13, 2010.
According to Culture, Youth and Sport Officer Hazel Wilson, youths between the ages of 9 and 16 would be exposed to meaningful activities that will enable them to develop their potential in sports, art and craft, drama, educational talks and cultural activities.
Activities on each day of the five-day camps begin at 09:00h and end at 13:00h.
The venues and dates are as follows: Greenwich Park and Zeelugt Primary Schools from July 12 to 16; Leonora and Cornelia Ida Primary Schools from July 19 to 23; Vreed-en-Hoop and La Retraite Primary Schools from July 26 to 30; Kawall Primary School from August 2 to 6 and Santa Mission Primary School from August 9 to 13.
