Boa constrictors caught outside GITC

Four boa constrictors were spotted at Albert Street and Woolford Avenue, Georgetown, yesterday and three of them were caught by citizens, while the fourth one escaped. The snakes, which were found on the parapet just outside the Guyana Industrial Training Centre (GITC), were subsequently killed and skinned. The skins will be sold to tanners for the making of handbags and wallets and the like.
Pictures by Cullen Bess-Nelson show the snakes with those who caught them and one of them being skinned.
