THE Board of Directors of the Guyana Sugar Corporation Inc. yesterday issued a statement announcing that it has accepted the resignation of its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Errol Hanoman.

According to the statement, Hanoman tendered his resignation on 1st July, 2010, citing personal reasons for his decision.

“He came to the helm of the Industry as Chief Executive Officer in 2009 at a critical juncture; in keeping with a commitment to turn the fortunes of the Industry around,” the Corporation stated.

“The Board of Directors would like to thank Mr. Hanoman for his efforts in this regard and wish him well in his future endeavours,” the Corporation added in a terse statement.
