Kabakaburi Health Centre gets 40 hp outboard engine

CHAIRMAN of Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam), Mr. Alli Baksh yesterday handed over a 40 horse power (hp) outboard ‘Yamaha’ engine to health worker/midwife, Ms. Wendy Fernandes of Kabakaburi Health Centre.
At the function, in the Anna Regina, Essequibo Coast compound of the Regional Democratic Council (RDC), Baksh said
it is the Government policy to provide free health care to all citizens of this country and the motor will boost the delivery to residents living in remote areas along Upper Pomeroon River.
He admonished Fernandes and other health workers to maintain the engine and use it for their official duties only.
Fernandes thanked Baksh and Government, on behalf of Kabakaburi residents, for the gift that was purchased through the Region’s capital programme.
