IT is a total admission on the part of a major political party to proudly announce that it is committed to focusing on alliances with other political parties. It is an inherent deficiency in the knowledge of that party that to stand alone it is incapable of winning a general election. What a sorry state of mind, which can only engender negative vibrations amongst its followers or membership! This is the reality that confronts the totally mixed-up Peoples National Congress Reform (PNCR) leader Robert Corbin.
Of course, his current vacillation over the leadership of the PNCR, which has roots about being a born loser in general elections, can be seen as a last grasp of staying politically alive; his seeing panic in the PPP/C points to the state of a confused mind. Surely he must be aware that the history of the PPP will confirm that this political party has faced all forms of alliances and conspiracies in futile attempts to defeat them. This is one of the great feats that exist to the glory of the oldest and strongest political party in Guyana.
It is amazing witnessing the mad scramble by the current crop of potential charlatans busying themselves over what will prove another futile attempt to unseat the only party that has brought a better quality of life to the vast majority of Guyanese.
PNCR admits that it cannot win an election alone
