THE Muslim Community has observed frequent attacks on Islam and the Muslims by Mr. F. Kissoon in his columns. The recent being his attack on the D.P.P who is a practicing Muslim and offers voluntary service to CIOG, a reputable humanitarian charitable organisation. Mr. Kissoon seems to have a problem with the religion of the D.P.P and her affiliation. I have examined the former D.P.P.s and their affiliations, these are my findings:

(1)Two of them were patrons of Nathoo rum shop in Kitty.
(2) Another boasted about her affiliation to a political party now in opposition and ACDA.
(3)The majority of them were all members of various lodges and to whom they were loyal.
The current D.P.P does not belong to any of the above hence a deviation from the norm. This is unacceptable by the untouchables of the legal fraternity and their associates and who undoubtedly have tremendous influence. Ms. Hack in my opinion conducts herself in a responsible manner and with dignity. Her affiliation compliments this function and for this, we the law abiding citizens and the real promoters of decency admire her.
