THREE men appeared in Court yesterday, accused of stealing booty worth $500,000 from the home of attorney-at-law Mr. Vic Puran.
Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson remanded the trio to prison after they denied the theft.
David Glasgow, 34, of Lot 34 First Street, Alberttown, Georgetown, faced the joint charge with 42-year-old Linden George and Basheer Khan (no addresses given).
They are charged with larceny of clothing, crystal glasses and other household items, on May 2.
Glasgow claimed he was sleeping in a yard where he found a plastic bag with clothes inside and alleged that the virtual complainant beat him badly and threatened to shoot him.
Khan said the gun threat was issued to him, too, although he knows nothing about the stolen things.
Puran informed the Court that he recognised some of his garments on all the defendants, who are to make their next appearance on June 4.
