The production capacity of BK Group of companies has been further strengthened with the
acquisition of more heavy-duty equipment for use primarily on the EU-funded sea defence projects. The equipment, three 295Kobelco excavators, were on Monday handed over to a BK Group Director, Mr Kevin Tiwarie, by Mr Deo Persaud, Chairman of the Associated Industries Limited (AINLIM) which sourced the equipment.
Recognition was given to Managing Director of the BK Group, Mr Brian Tiwarie, and his dedicated team for continuing their investment in helping to build this country’s infrastructure.
The Group has already created a reputation of delivering quality work on its contracts and Persaud, who applauded Tiwarie and his team’s success in being awarded such significant project, made note of the entrepreneurial skills which have seen the company’s continued growth and development.
Guyana, he added, is at a point of its development where Guyanese can look forward to sustained growth.
Recalling that the BK Group has over the years enjoyed excellent business relationships with Neal and Massy here, he pledged the company’s continued support.
Mr Egan Bazillo, Office Manager of BK International, expressing gratitude on behalf of the BK Group, briefly shared insights into the upward mobility over the years, which, though met with challenges, was able to overcome through the resolve and fortitude of Tiwarie and his team.
The BK Group, in addition to its construction business, has a quarry operation and its own marine fleet.
