Barry Dataram seeking leave to become added respondent

IN a notice of Motion filed yesterday, businessman Barry Dataram is asking the Court, through his counsel Mr. Glenn Hanoman, for leave to intervene in the matter of an Application by Asst. Commissioner Seelal  Persaud for  Writs of Certiorari and Mandamus As a result of an application from Asst. Commissioner Persaud, Judge Roxanne George had granted a Nisi Order of Certiorari directing the Chief Magistrate to quash  a decision in which she refused to issue an arrest warrant for the arrest of Barry Dataram.
The application by Dataram yesterday sought leave from the Court for him to intervene in the proceedings as an added respondent under  Order 14 Rule 14 and Order 40 Rule 6 of the Rules of the Supreme Court, and or Articles 144 and 153 of the Constitution, and or under the inherent jurisdiction of the Court.
It was also requested by the applicant that the Court order and direct the Applicant Seelal Persaud to amend the rubric in the present proceedings to reflect the order which this court makes.
