Ivor English appointed new CLC Principal

LONG serving lecturer at Critchlow Labour College (CLC), Mr. Ivor English has been appointed its new principal.
The Tuesday announcement said he had previously volunteered his services for the past 23 years.
The former General Manager of Transport and Harbours Department (T&HD) said a primary goal is for CLC to be as self-sustaining as possible and that could be
achieved, primarily, with fees from students, fund-raising and by corporate sponsorship.
Secretary to the CLC Board of Governors,  Mr. Lincoln Lewis said that the institution continues to offer the one year Social Studies Course leading to a diploma and will add new and relevant courses, in keeping with its mandate to provide labour and general education over the years.
He acknowledged that CLC has gone through a difficult period and its closure for w while was related to the lack of funds following the withdrawal of the Government subvention.
Lewis said classes will resume from April 6, at the Woolford Avenue, Georgetown location.
