NAGPUR, India (Reuters) – South African wicketkeeper Mark Boucher sustained a back injury during the third day of the first Test against India yesterday which kept him off the field during the final session. The team management said the injury was not serious and that he would be available for the second and final Tests starting in Kolkata at the weekend. AB de Villiers kept wicket in his absence.
“The doctors have given him a clean bill of health,” a team spokesman said. “It is being treated as a lower back strain and he will undergo treatment with the physiotherapist.
