THE husband of murdered housewife Nalini Bhoge called ‘Nalo’ has been released from Police custody and another man arrested is still being held as the investigations continue.

The mother of three was found dead in her bedroom, by her husband, on January 26.

The bloodied body of Bhoge, 46, of Lot 19 Line Path, Corriverton, Corentyne, Berbice, was discovered in the house about 10:00 h, with several stab and chop wounds.

Her throat, neck and head bore slashes and her husband told Police he had gone out and, upon his return, smelled something burning.

He said, after he got no response to his calls for her, he went in search and discovered her body. At the time, their three children were at school.

A bloodstained cutlass and ice pick were found near the corpse by the Police.

Reports indicate there were no signs of forced entry into the building and nothing seemed to be missing from the home.
Consequently, a motive for the murder has not yet been established.
