POLICE are investigating another tomb burglary at Eliza Cemetery on Essequibo Coast.
After Vivienne Pitman was buried Friday afternoon, her relatives discovered that the burial place had been broken into during the night.
The thieves pulled out the coffin, ripped open the cover and stole the gold chain from around the neck of the deceased.
Recently, another such theft was thwarted when the grave robbers, having extracted a casket from a grave in the same cemetery, abandoned their mission because many persons were in the vicinity attending a wedding reception.
